The Web Design Projects

Learning HTML, JavaScript, and CSS

The second- and third-week projects in EML 6208 acquainted us with basic web design as well as HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. For the first web design project, we were given a template HTML quiz and asked to customize it to our own tastes and interests. I chose to make a quiz about the well-known short story "The Yellow Wallpaper." Altering the quiz code wasn't very difficult as I have some familiarity with HTML from working with Canvas. However, this project made me more confident in my HTML skills.

The other web design project was another HTML quiz, but this one also required the use of CSS. I chose another literature theme, and setting up the basic quiz was not difficult at all. The Canvas resources for this project were very robust, and the how-to video was particularly helpful. Though creating the quiz was not difficult, I am still finding my way with CSS. If I have time in the near future, I would like to take a tutorial on CSS to understand it better.
